Using stock photos to communicate an abstract piece is no easy task; since I'm working in the abstract to some extent (despite some efforts to reshape my vision for the plan), I thought I would use free-to-find and free-to-use pictures that captured the spirit of what I was trying to accomplish. See the actual Linoit Board here.
I've treated this section of the assignment as more of a mood board, seeking out visual cues to capture the spirit of where a library might go and using available (free-to-use) visuals to suggest something tangible from the abstract language that is contained on my board. In any instance where I am not the author of the image used, I have credited the username and website source where the image is found. Oddly, in many of these creative commons stock photo sites, very limited information is given for appropriate citation (often referring to the fact that no actual attribution is required by the license).
I have added these photos in the hopes of explaining what a library learning commons focussed on hands-on learning might look like at the philosophical level. I have some new ideas about the Linoit board and how I might realign this project but I'll save that for the assignment submission.
