TPACK and SAMR

To organize my thinking, I created a mind map using a free account on MindMeister. Unfortunately, one limitation to the free accounts on this platform is the inability to export a high definition version or import external graphics. Consequently, I had to amend my map in Google Drawings (which, for what it's worth, is probably what I should have used to mind map in the first place). Apologies for the small text size.

Note the integration of the new Bloom's Digital Technology as a third framework to my MindMap.

Questions for Discussion

  1. Does this mind map effectively connect the two (or three) frameworks? I was hoping to create a starting point for collaborative planning in recognizing that adding technology is nothing more than "stepping to the door." I believe TPACK is an excellent framework for instructional design and SAMR works to push the limits on creative activity development, but lining them up against Bloom's provides a way to ensure that they meet in the middle of the competency objectives.

  2. Is there a way to represent SAMR in a non-linear way that might integrate with the TPACK model? I keep landing on "Substitution" as though it was the first rung on a ladder to be climbed, but I feel that there's more to it than that. Is there another way to represent SAMR?
