My Library Learning Commons

Updated: Aug 11, 2021

After going back and forth somewhat with the language, the fonts (I love fonts), the colour schemes... I landed on this as a representation for the LIITE model of teacher librarianship. I tried to imagine what role the TL would play in my half-real half-hypothetical library learning commons, specifically as one that might be rebranded as the school creation hub.

I'm interested specifically in how divergent perspectives inform broader perspectives in teachers and in students when applied or sought with intentionality. I focussed more on being deliberate around epistemological differences among educators (and how we define education), because I think we often overlook how the library can serve as an exemplar space for innovation both in what we do with tech but also how we tell the stories we tell. There are worldviews that share a very narrow slices of Venn Diagrams when we consider commonalities, but it doesn't necessarily mean that they are in competition.

In any case, here's the graphic and thanks for any feedback! I'll update it as I go.
